Virginia Hall
Twenty years of Nursing background and over twenty years of Business experience, allows me to bring both practical medical knowledge and a sound fiscal business direction to the Grossmont Healthcare District Board.
I started working in a hospital when I was nineteen years old as a nurse’s aide, working my way through college to eventually practice as a Registered Nurse for over twenty years. My nursing career included working in Hospitals, Emergency Rooms, and Clinics. I have participated on research boards, presented at several National Nursing Conferences and have been published in Medical publications. All of my nursing career has been in providing patient care and oversight connected to hospitals and their systems.
While I was born and raised in San Diego, I have lived in Santee most of my life where I have raised a family and now enjoy spending time with three granddaughters and a grandson. My husband is Santee City Councilman Ronn Hall and I are very active in the East San Diego County community. In addition, to being on the Grossmont Healthcare District Board this past eight years, I was the 2016 Chairperson for the Santee Chamber of Commerce; and have been a Santee-Lakeside Rotarian since 2014.
A letter from Virginia
To My District,
I am honored to have been elected to the Grossmont Healthcare District Board in 2016, 2020, and 2024. I would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support and encouragement.
I have been in an executive position on the Grossmont Healthcare District Board since elected. While serving as the Board President , I led many accomplishments, including navigating the healthcare district through the pandemic bringing vaccinations and COVID 19 test kits to our district constituents and local nonprofit clinics; hiring a new District CEO; instituting our present Strategic Planning goals, and representing the district at many functions including the groundbreaking for the new Sharp Grossmont Hospital Neuroscience Center.
My mission as a Director on the Grossmont Healthcare District Board is to continue to serve and continue to gain the respect and trust of the community. Besides partnering with Sharp Grossmont Hospital to ensure a state-of-the-art medical facility and services for our District, my work also includes anticipating and recognizing the unmet healthcare needs of the community, maintaining and improving the physical and behavioral health of all those in the district. Having been active throughout the district, I have a great perspective on the unmet health needs and continue to work at meeting them.
God Bless,
